Roadside assistance, also known as breakdown cover, is a service designed to help you get going again if your vehicle breaks down. When you call for help, your service provider will usually try to solve your problem over the phone.

Though roadside assistance is provided by many different companies, their products are fundamentally the same. That is to say, if your vehicle breaks down, you can call your provider for assistance and, if necessary, they’ll dispatch a roadside contractor or tow truck to help you.

It will depend on a number of factors, including your location and road conditions. If possible, we’ll SMS you a link to a map showing the real-time location as they approach the breakdown area; and their estimated time of arrival (ETA).

If you get a flat tyre, we’ll replace it with the spare tyre supplied with your vehicle. In the unlikely event we cannot change the tyre, we’ll – within service limits – so we can repair your tire.

You can use roadside assistance if your car isn't running and you need a tow, you've locked your keys in your car, have a flat tire, dead battery, or run out of gas.

Roadside assistance typically covers basic tasks that can get your car back on the road if you're stranded. These services include: Towing your car if it's had a mechanical breakdown or can't be driven Unlocking your car if you're locked out Delivering fuel if you run out of gas Jump-starting your car if your battery is out of power Changing a flat tire, including putting on your spare.
