Ms. Brulliard,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your article,"Its promised land drying, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints works to save the Great Salt Lake." It was an excellent analysis of the issue and approaches to dealing with it.

As a Church, we have been actively encouraging both ourselves and others to use the official name of our faith, which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is because nicknames, although convenient and brief, inadvertently omit the name of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ.
In terms of a shorter alternative for subsequent references, we suggest using "The Church" or "The Church of Jesus Christ." These alternatives still reflect the essence of our faith while providing a concise reference.

Additionally, we kindly ask that when referring to members of the Church, you use the following terms: "members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints," "Latter-day Saints," or "members of the Church of Jesus Christ." We kindly request that terms such as "Mormons" and "LDS" be avoided.

Thank you for considering our request and for the outstanding article you have written.
