Meet Our Founder
Jay Barley
I started LuckyU Travel because I exploration changed the trajectory of my life and I want to
enable others to have the same experience…
It started in high school when I visited Denmark on a student exchange program. My mind had never been so broadened and eyes so widened. From there I went on to visit numerous countries and even live in Japan for a number of years, enabling me to increase my cultural competency. The experiences was amazing and life-changing to say the least. Taking advantage of every break and every sliver of available time, I took it upon myself to travel. Each time was different and each time constraint caused for a specific approach in the way I traveled. I’ve stayed in luxury hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, home-stays, you name it. Each had its own unique experience from which I learned and grew.
With that in mind, I know what it’s like to plan and the stress that comes with it. I also know what it is to tweak a plan and make an adventure happen based on current circumstances, be it good or bad.
